Sara Figueiredo Pôncio joins our Team

As of April 1st, 2025, Sara Figueiredo Pôncio joins CThM as a student assistant.

Sara is a master’s student in Peace, Trauma, and Religion at VU Amsterdam and a postgraduate student in International Law and Human Rights. Originally from Brazil, her work with migrants sparked a deep interest in the challenges faced by displaced populations, fueling her commitment to advocacy and research. Her academic focus lies at the intersection of theology, law, and human rights, particularly in relation to migration, peacebuilding, and justice.

She has contributed research on theology’s role in addressing forced migration and advocating for the dignity of migrants and refugees.
